Each year Westerner Days has a major impact on the economy of Red Deer and surrounding area, with the overall effect conservatively estimated to be in excess of $7 million dollars. Of that total, approximately $5 million is spent by visitors, exhibitors and contractors in Red Deer and area. These expenditures are typically made on accommodations, food services, retail, entertainment and more. The Westerner Days Fair & Exposition Parade is the traditional kick-off to Central Alberta's largest summer celebration. Over 30,000 people will line the streets of downtown Red Deer on to enjoy the decorated floats and vehicles, collector vehicles, local celebrities, marching bands and livestock entries.

Hosting an off-site event offers businesses the opportunity to unite the community together in partnership with Central Alberta’s largest summer celebration – Westerner Days Fair & Exposition.
Get involved by hosting an event during July 17-21, 2019 for the community to partake in. Put your own spin on a pancake breakfast, chill cook off, dance, or other creative activities.
Want to be involved but need help with ideas? We can help! Hosts are encouraged to provide a portion of their proceeds to support a local charity or non-profit of their choice. Last year, over $23,000 was given back to our community!

Let’s get creative! Decorate your business during Westerner Days and have your team sport their best Western attire to participate in our annual Best Dressed Business contest.
The winning business will receive Westerner Days 2019 gate admission passes for their staff, plus bragging rights for the entire year!

Why not volunteer the Saputo Kids Corral?!
This popular family attraction is open daily from Noon - 8:00 pm and includes the Saputo Kids Corral, The Calm Room, and the Central Alberta Co-op Family Stage, all located within the Harvest Centre.
Your organization will need to secure a minimum of 18 volunteers to cover 3 different shifts
6 people per shift, as follows:
These shifts will fall on your selected day(s) at Westerner Days, covering both the Saputo Kids Corral area and The Calm Room.
