In response to the Alberta government declaring a state of public health emergency, Westerner Park has implemented the Restrictions Exemption Program, which requires one of the following for all people aged 12 and older:
Masks will also be required in compliance with Alberta Health Services guidelines. Anyone unable to wear a mask due to an approved medical condition will be asked to provide their medical exception letter (visit Alberta mask requirements for details).
This program was implemented September 20, 2021 and will remain in place for the foreseeable future for all entrants of Westerner Park, including employees, contractors, volunteers, and event organizers & attendees.
“By adopting the Restrictions Exemption Program, we can do our part to help ensure the safety of our staff and all Central Albertans who enjoy the many events that take place at Westerner Park, while still operating at our capacity potential” stated Mike Olesen, Chief Executive Officer, Westerner Park “While we do not know how long these restrictions will be in place, we are planning as though they apply to all current events at Westerner Park, including Canadian Finals Rodeo, Agri-Trade, and the gatherings, functions, and shows hosted by business and community groups.”
We look forward to the exciting events happening here at Westerner Park and will adapt as needed to make sure we are providing a safe experience.
Parking fees will no longer be charged for events happening at Westerner Park. Instead, a small facility fee on each ticket will be implemented. The new fee structure will lower the overall cost to guests while helping keep Westerner Park financially sustainable. Click here for more details.
