The Soul Train Experience

This event is a tribute to the late Tyrone Proctor, a legendary Soul Train dancer. In 2019, we had the pleasure of training with Tyrone and the very first Soul Train Gala was formed! The event was such a success that Tyrone said “we should do this every year.” Sadly, in June 2020, Tyrone passed away at the age of 66. We want to honor Tyrone's legacy, so this year we are pleased to announce that one of his students, the multi-faceted performance artist Princess Lockerooo, will be at our gala to bring authenticity to the event.The event is open to all ages and we hope to share the true culture of dance with members of our community! This fundraising gala supports our local dancers at Pound It Hop Hop Studio in Red Deer. This year, our dancers have an extraordinary opportunity to attend the Legacy League competition in New York City. They will train with world class Hip Hop artists and compete for the title of the Legacy League champions!
