In 2014 Westerner Park established a $15,000 fund through the Olds College. This fund was created to be awarded as a bursary over five years.
As an agriculture society and part of Westerner Park's commitment to the community the purpose of the bursary is to provide financial assistance to deserving Olds College Students in Agriculture and Environmental Studies.
"Our organization is strongly rooted in agriculture," says Ben Antifaiff, Westerner Park Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. "We see it as our responsibility to support the community and give back where we can."
Each year up to two $1,500 bursaries are awarded to students studying in any of the following programs;
- Rural Finance & Entrepreneurship Certificate
- Agricultural Management Diploma
- Animal Health Technology
- Veterinary Medical Receptionist
- Environmental Horticulture Diploma
