The community united, food lovers indulged, thrill seekers adventured and entertainment lovers celebrated together at Westerner Days 2017! Thousands of people come out to watch 10 incredible Main Stage performers, 4 nights of fireworks, experience the livestock shows, enjoy all the entertainment and eat fair food.
A few of the highlights from the Fair was Tom Cochrane’s performance with Red Rider on Friday, July 21 in the ENMAX Centrium, which drew in over 4,600 fans. The warm temperatures and sun in Red Deer on Saturday, July 22 had more than 22,000 people in attendance, numbers were up 15% from last year’s Saturday’s attendance. Audiences packed the stands to watch the Pony Steeplechase Championship Series and stay to see the pony chucks.
