March 17 2020 | Red Deer, AB— As of March 17, at 2:00 pm the Alberta Government has stated that effective immediately and until further notice, they are implementing additional measures, including cancelling events that have more than 50 people. All Albertans are prohibited from attending public recreational facilities and private entertainment facilities, including gyms, swimming pools, arenas, science centres, museums, art galleries, community centres, children’s play centres, casinos, racing entertainment centres, and bingo halls.
Westerner Park fully supports these additional measures and will make adjustments accordingly.

March 12 2020 | Red Deer, AB—Westerner Park fully supports Alberta Health Services and their decision to protect the spread of COVID-19. As of March 12, 2020 at 4:00pm all events at Westerner Park over 250 people are being postponed effective immediately. Westerner Park has and will continue to follow the direction from Alberta Health Services to protect the health and safety of everyone.
As a community minded non profit organization our community, guests, staff and volunteers are of utmost importance to us. We will remain in contact with Alberta Health Services and the City of Red Deer to provide accurate updates on the status of COVID-19 and events taking place in the immediate future at Westerner Park.
