July 26, 2021 | Red Deer, AB – The three-day, Wagons at Westerner event held on Friday, July 23rd to Sunday, July 25th marked Westerner Park’s official return to live events. The event exceeded all expectations, welcoming guests from across Central Alberta.
"It was great to bring together thousands for the Wagons at Westerner. Seeing so many of our familiar faces come back to work and seeing the community excited to be here was an awesome feeling!" said Mike Olesen, Chief Executive Officer, Westerner Park. "Congratulations goes out to so many for this event as it took a team to pull it off.
The North American Pony Chuckwagon Championships brought drivers from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and ran all three days along side local food trucks; Chedda Heads, Lil’ Orbits, Taco Monster and The Sugar Shop as well as the Bud Light Seltzer outdoor beer garden. Friday and Saturday guests were treated to live entertainment from The Rural Routes and Jamie Woodfin with Fireworks Spectacular show wrapping up both evenings.
