August 23 | Red Deer, AB — Paid parking will be increasing at Westerner Park effective September 1. Currently, the price for single entry parking is $5, and the new price will be $6. Along with the increase, Westerner Park will be offering a variety of ways to save on parking, including:
August 22, 2017 | Red Deer, AB – On Sunday, August 20, our first Urban Farm Festival was held at Westerner Park. The goal of the Festival, presented by Peavey Mart, was to educate and encourage people to bring aspects of farm living into their urban homes. This was achieved through a tradeshow style set-up featuring exhibitors, compromised of local producers selling homemade or home-grown products. Admission was free for anyone wanting to attend, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.
The community united, food lovers indulged, thrill seekers adventured and entertainment lovers celebrated together at Westerner Days 2017! Thousands of people come out to watch 10 incredible Main Stage performers, 4 nights of fireworks, experience the livestock shows, enjoy all the entertainment and eat fair food.
Westerner Park’s Arts and Culture committee installed an art exhibit yesterday, July 11, showcasing local artists, including work from Red Deer College’s past students.
