Perspectives: Jody Wilson-Raybould
Oct 23, 2024
Red Deer Polytechnic is pleased to host Jody Wilson-Raybould for Perspectives: Canada in the World. Being a true leader requires the courage to think, act, and be different. Join The Hon. Jody Wilson-Raybould as she offers invaluable insights for creating meaningful change and fostering ethical, inclusive environments on October 23 at 7 pm at the Marquis Room at Westerner Park.
The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould has been involved in governance and politics in Canada from a young age, from assuming leadership roles in First Nations communities to becoming the BC Regional Chief of the Assembly of First Nations and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. Discover the profound insights of Jody Wilson-Raybould as she takes the stage to explore the transformative theme of “Being an Agent of Change and the Nature of Integrity.”
By walking audiences through her unique and, in many ways, unparalleled journey through Canadian politics, Wilson-Raybould provides an insider’s view of the highs and lows of our contemporary political landscape, and why it often seems our struggles to govern in effective and principled ways are intensifying. She will explore the fundamental changes needed in our political culture and governing approaches, and how each and every one of us can play an impactful role in advocating for change and getting big and important stuff done.
Our shared future relies upon individuals and groups understanding the challenges of our status quo and stepping forward to promote constructive change. Wilson-Raybould’s presentation encourages and empowers audiences to envision how they can collectively navigate the uncertain times we live in, and help shift ineffective and, at times, destructive patterns in our politics and governance.
